Brick Lane

Brick Lane: notoriously known for its indians... (the food, along with the bangladesh community) naturally we needed to sample this for ourselves, so one evening we all went in search of a good ol' brick lane curry! After hearing endless offers we eventually settled for an indian that was offering us a 4 course meal for 9.95 each, pretty impressive. I myself found it very tasty. Service was abit pants but what do i really expect from a tenna. Curry verdict: Pretty Good. There seemed to be a whole lot of graffiti around brick lane, it added a lively vibe to the place. I myself am quite fond of the odd bit of graffiti, it particularly amazes me when it's in the most ridiculous place to reach.
I liked this fellow, I called him Mudwig. I'm not too sure where I came across that name...
Anyway there were quite a few nifty little sayings, for instance 'I woke up mutated'... makes you wonder who wrote them really. I wouldn't like to bump into them on brick lane at night. I couldn't help but feel rather jealous of the transport around brick lane. My little feet were killing me and yet there seemed to be bikes everywhere, ones with baskets and foldable wheels! I haven't rode a bike since i was about 10 (and fell down a hill) i'm kind of inspired to go out and get myself one. I could do with some exercise.
Spitalfield MarketWe spent alot of time browsing in the vintage shops and spitalfields market. I bought these little guys off a chinese man. There little mobile phone charms and I paid a quid each for them. :) I thought they made a rather cute couple. There made from plastic and threads and the little guy even had a bell attached. I think he looks like your typical schoolboy/postman/monkey and she's an oriental princess. A typical mis-matched couple. I found them buried in a tiny box, with other charms, the boy one was rather dirty and I couldn't help but feel sorry for it! I don't think I would of been compelled to buy them if they were in a shop. The fact that I was rooting around for them makes them appeal to me and gives them their characters.
Bethanal Green museum of childhood.

this clown is possibly the scariest puppet i've ever seen,
'How to give your child nightmares.'
not exactly the cuddly toys your used to seeing today!
I cldn't help but like this wooden toy. It reminds me of a transvestite. It's like a stool type, wooden object. With garish make up, boobs and tattoos. Hard to imagine a small child playing with this? I reckon it would look fantastic in a bar though, with drinks or bottles balanced on it. I wouldn't mind it being in my room actually, I need a bedside table.
